Delivery info for my '06A

Friends,as of yesterday here in Rochester N.Y. I contacted my dealer by e-mail

to ask if he had any recent info. His reply was as follows:

Kathy @ Yamaha shipping told me today,after begging on your behalf,that the

MARCH units are scheduled to ship out 4/10. APRIL units(MINE) are scheduled

to ship 4/24.

This is not firm,as they are not in the country yet,& shipping,customs & other

issues can delay them.(If they are even built yet)

On top of this,they take 3-7 business days to arrive here once shipped by Yamaha.

I get most of my inventory from Pensauken N.J..

So Sadly you are looking at the end of April for you to take ownership.

Even though this is not the info I was hoping for-It is at least better than WONDERING WHAT THE H____ is happening.

So now I can save more for future FARKLES !!!!! Hope this gives some comfort

to other waiters in the area . SLIICK 2

Yo Slick, Um at my Florida home until the 10th of April and will be back in Rochester bout that time. My 06 is coming from Hollink and probably will be delivered from the shipping house at the same timeas yours.

Give me a call at 544-3860 in tha middle of April. Maybee we can break them mothersuckers in at the same time.

Well, at least ONE '06 FJR was delivered: mine got here Friday night. I "test" rode her 82 miles yesterday afternoon and to put it simply: DFO

It looks surprisingly like the pre-release bikes @ Alice's Restaurant! And almost exactly like the posted picture (in another thread) of his bike being assembled at his dealer.

Yes it is truly aaaahhhmazinn how much it looks like my FJR...oh...it IS! And yes...she is FUNtastic to ride, but the weather is even worse today than yesterday so she is staying in my "Toy Room". DFO

I called D&H about a month ago and Renaa told me they had a few coming in late March and that I was #17 out of 33 for April. Thought I would wait for another week before I bugged her for more information as I suspect they are gettng calls from lots of people these days. Has anyone in this forum talked to Renaa or Jason lately?

I talked to them last Tuesday and they had no bikes and no new info whatsoever. The latest info was that they were getting some around April 10th.

Spoke to Jerrold on Friday and he had no news on when first bikes would arrive.

With everyone getting news of their upcoming deliveries, I decided to throw caution to the wind and called my dealer. I order my AE the day after Thanksgiving so I wasn't expecting great news. But I was surprised when he told me he had word that it would be delivered sometime in JULY :bigeyes: :bigeyes: :angry:

I guess I will have to buy another rear tire for the old 86' fj1200 <_<

Got her out today, still running good, took the kids for some short rides since it was around 60 degrees here in central Indiana.

Sure was hoping for better news on the FJR :thumbdown:

I spoke to Christine at Yamaha and she said my bike should start shipping 4/10 from either Wisconsin or Georgia. Oh well, let the waiting begin. The closer I am to getting it the worse the wait!!! :blink:
