Despite the fact that I should be getting ready for my trip to Oregon next week, I just had to run over to see this for a few hours. I'd never seen a police skills competition and I didn't want to miss my once-a-year chance. It's not the most exciting thing to watch but it is pretty impressive. I'm amazed at how much floorboard scraping they do. These guys are damn good. At least in my eyes. Anyway, here is a link to a quick video I shot of one of the Harley riders. I didn't get any video of any of the guys on the BMW's. They don't scrape anything, They just touch a foot now and then. lol

They are fun to watch.

Did they do the side by side runs with the rope between the bikes? The bikes had a piece of rope with magnets on both ends and had a side by side course that was kick ***.

I like doing tight work. But the tether thing, magnetic or not, freaks me out. I have a hard time watching it and you wouldn't catch me doing it. Great video.

They did not do the tether. That sounds wild. It was a fun thing to go watch though.

I've seen them here in Phx as well. It's a good reminder that without their bar stops installed, you will never out maneuver these guys. Very impressive!
