Looking for some local advice

I'm doing a 401/I-80 bogie Ottawa to Denver and picking Diana up at Denver airport on the Monday prior to WFO.

We then have 3 days to get to Park City.

Current plan is to hit Rocky Mountain NP on Tuesday and then follow the general direction of the 40 to Park City.

Any suggestions for places to stay on the Tuesday and Wednesday nights?

Chris

Steam Boat to Park City is a nice day's ride.

Wow, that's plenty of time to ride around Colorado. If it were me I'd drop down below I-80 and take some of the great passes. Slumgullion (149), Red Mountain (550), Colorado 141 (not a pass but a great road to ride.) The list goes on and on. Maybe stay at Ouray or Telluride.

That's planned for after WFO

(Park City Down to Bryce, up through Escalante, Glen Canyon, Durango, Montrose, Gunnision, Aspen) :yahoo:

I was out that way last year so I know my way around there.

I was in a bit of a rush to get home last year so I came through Grand Junction / Denver via I-70 and didn't get a chance to look around as the weather closed down around Glenwood Springs.

I was just wondering if there was anything north of I-70 (I did hit Flaming Gorge, Tetons and Yellowstone last year so I know about those area's).

Looking for nice (350 mile) loops since we are two up which move us towards Park City.

I am not local but have spent a lot of time in Colorado. If I were you after you get thru Rocky Mountain Nat. park. I would turn north at Granby on 125 , then 127 and 230 to Laramie Wyo. stay there overnight. Then 130 west to Riverside , then 70 west to Baggs , then 13 to Meeker Colo. then 64 until it joins 40 west and stay overnight in Vernal Utah. Then on to Park City. I plan on staying in Vernal that same night on my way out to Park City. Plenty of Motels.
