I have searched the backrest posts, but can't find a detatchable backrest at a "decent" price. I would like to have a luggage rack, but it's not a "must".

Anybody have any idea's?

Thanks, Jim

Just so you know....

I have a garauld rack and his light brackets on my '07.

He quality is great.

Thanks Garauld. :clapping:

My, my it's Friday and everything. How about

1) Make your own

2) Garauld's rack

3) Premier accessories rack

4) trunk with backrest

5) Corbin saddle

in order of increasing price, more or less.

Well, what do you consider a "decent" price?
HAHA. I was just about to reply with "Search google for "Garauld site:fjrforum.com""

Mine is the famous Garauld rack with backrest (which is removable with simple tools)

I have one and would recommend it highly. I leave the rest on for rides with the wife or kids, and off for a cleaner look. I just rode 5600 miles with the backrest off but Gary's small rack on -- the large motofizz bag affixed longitudinally. This setup up worked beautifully and allowed more fore-aft ass movement when needed, and easy access to the pack.

For the quality and functionality, the price of Garauld's backrests is more than reasonable.

Just my experience.

I have the original Garauld backrest-none better, and really, few if any cheaper.
