If no one minds, I'd like to meet all of you and ride along...

I promise I'll stay in the rear...

So I wont' embarass everyone...

I dont' have an FJR anymore!

Just an itty bitty Triumph... it takes off fast enuf, just nowhere near the top end of the Harley...

which means I'll lose you guys in the first two blocks! <LOL>

But that's ok...

Mary

We need a leader for this ride who will then select the destination. Any volunteers?
TejasFJR, why don't you do it? :clapping: I'm sure that you could easily give us a good route and I'd really like to see one before I give up my trip south.

Mary, of course you can join us, but nosecone and I are already battling for the rear so it might get crowded back there. :D

What kind of Triumph do you have?

I wouldn't mind but since I'm still breaking in and will only be able to ride along for a short while, I'd rather pass this time. I could suggest some routes though.

I'll go just to increase the euro-trash numbers.

Woot, sounds like a good sized group. Ryan, Mark either of you want to take lead on the ride?

Here are some quick options. To be honest I'm not that familiar with many of these, but I've had them scribbled down as rides to try out.

To Nocona, St. Jo, Muenster, 246mi, (I do this one quite a bit cause I like that long bridge into Oklahoma)

455, West to East, 196mi, (last time I was on 455 there seemed to be a lot of construction)

51 to Granbury then pie?, 235mi, (haven't been down 51 in about 2 yrs)

Loop around Possum Kingdom Lake, 300 mi

If we could get Bounce on board, I bet he'd lead and have some good options.

Thanks TejasFJR, these all look like good routes, :bike: any would be fun for Saturday after Starbucks!'

I don't mind leading as long as you dudes don't mind the Scent of the Falco™. Just tell me which route and I'll throw it in the Garmin. And if someone else wants to lead, it won't hurt my feelers one bit. I'll just be happy to be riding. B)

Thanks Ryan! I guess my vote would be for the route N to Nocona, St. Jo (with a little blip down to the Ranch Art for pics) with 51 to Granbury coming in a close 2nd.

Is the ranch art the stint off of 89 I see on the map?

The day is supposed to be gorgeous so I'd like to get going as soon as possible. 10:00 seemed to be the earliest we had a consensus to get together. I assumed that we'd be able to set a kick-stands up time of say 10:15. Maybe we need to have a confirmation of who is going and how early they could be there so we can see if we have a good time.

I'm definately in for at least the first portion of the ride. Can be there as early as 8:30 am.

Marcos,

Count me in. I will be there at 0945. Looking forward to it.

06 Speedmaster, tiny 865cc engine...<G>.... it doesn't cruise as fast as the Harley, let alone the FJR's, but the Harley needs some work done on the taillights, it's got a short.... either everything lights up or nothing, and it's too friggin cold to do anything! <G>

Since I installed the aftermarket taillight, I know all the **** I gotta rip out to find it... YUK! Including pull the gas tank... Double YUK!

The Speedy will cruise 75-85 ok, tho plus a bit... still fast enuf to get a ticket from the local overly friendly don't go over 70 folks...

Why did I leave the Escort in storage in Ohio? dang!

Thanks,

Mary

Ryan, the Texas Art Ranch is right about here (I think):

Texas Ranch (FM 677 & 3206)

This little detour north: Bridge is for the run across the river.

Does that make sense?
Yep, that makes sense. I checked the sat image and sure enough, there it is.

......programming the GPS now......
