Diminished resale value compensation

Progressive reimbursed me for accident damage but wouldn't allow for lowered resale value due to wreck. It was the other guy's fault. Is this normal?

Yes. Getting anything for diminshed value is unusual.

It also depends on the extent of the damage. If major components required repair or replacement such as frame, etc. Then you should be entitled to a dimension in value claim. However, if the other insurance co does not want to cooperate, you have to decide if it's worth the battle.

EDIT: If the damaged parts were cosmetic parts, or accessory parts or small relatively simple easy parts to replace, then a dimension in value claim is not justifiable. IMHOOC
