Dear SW-FOG attendees,

I got your email addresses from the registration database. I know some of you have emailed to say you aren't coming but didn't have that list here so those of you are getting this email too.

Dinner is scheduled for 6pm at Applebee's Restaurant just across the street from the Holiday Inn Express and Days Inns on Eubank where many of you are staying. If you can get over to Applebee's by 5:30, please do so. They don't take reservations but will set aside tables for us if we can get some people there before 6pm. Thanks. I'm going to get there by 5:30pm to set up the registration table on the patio.

The outdoor patio will seat 28-30 so we can potentially get half of everyone outside. It's on the east side so will be in the shade ;-)

IF you're coming into Albuquerque on I-40 westbound, the Eubank exit is closed. Take the Juan Tabo exit that's east of Eubank. Once you've exited, turn right (north, mountains on your right) to Lomas, ~ 3/4 mile. Left on Lomas (west) for about 1.5 miles. Then turn left (south) on the last street before the big intersection at Eubank. You can't turn left on Eubank and then turn into the side street that the 2 hotels are on.

If you miss the Juan Tabo exit, and you shouldn't as you'll be in a 45 mph construction zone on the freeway, take the next Wyoming exit. Cross over the freeway and get back on it going eastbount, getting off on the eastbount Eubank exit, which is open. Then turn left (north) and then right at the Owl Cafe/Bubba's Chevron station. The 2 hotels are on that street. If for some reason eastbound I-40 looks like a parking lot (it rarely does), keep on Wyoming south to Lomas then turn left (east) and take Lomas up to 1 street east of Eubank. Turn right there and then the first right again and there you are.

Warmest regards,

Doc Reid

Hey there,

Would someone send me some information on joining the SW-FOG? I'm here in San Diego, and I've just picked up my 05 a week ago. I am half way through the break in, and I am really looking forward to going out with some other FJR owners.

I have to say that I am new to the street bike/sport touring scene. Although I have riden motorcycles (mostly dirtbikes) since I was 6, this FJR is my first street bike. Before I picked it up, I went through the MSF course, and really took in all the information that they put out there. All of it, good stuff! I practice it daily.

This bike is incredible! I know that I have just scratched the surface on what it can do, but so far, I am extremely impressed. I'm working on my confidence in the corners mostly, since that is where I have the least amount of experience. I would love to get out there and ride with some truly knowledgeable and experienced riders, get some tips and advice, and be a much better rider than I am now.

Thank you in advance, and look forward to riding with you.........

Aaron
