A waiter question....

I want to purchase a disc brake lock and have 3 choices for the size of the rod that slides through the disc (5.5mm, 10mm, 13mm).

Which one(s) will fit? 10mm(3/8")?

Luke, since your a waiter right now, if your interested and can wait a little longer, have a look at this:

Luma disc lock

Thanks, but I have looked into the Luma lock and it apparently doesn't have lasting quality.

Anybody know what size holes are in the FJR disc?

The holes are approximately 1/4 inch in diameter but that dosen't matter because the disc locks slip past the holes and engage through large slots in the disc which are beyond the disc holes.

I use a Xena XN-14...

Xena

it fits perfectly, has worked just as well and I like the look of the stainless. As JRD said, the locking pin goes 'past' the brake rotor and as such is much larger diameter than a pin that would fit 'through' the rotor.

Thanks guys,

The size and slot info helps alot as well as the Xena site that gives the specs on the lock that fits. Actually that Xena-14 with the alarm sounds pretty good. I like the thought of the alarm being there if I am at a motel.

Thanks again!

You should get the 5.5mm pin. I bought the OnGuard Bulldog 5049 lock with an 8MM and it does not fit. It is unfortunate because this is a great lock.
