So my son & his family are coming over to go apple picking (an annual tradition) & then back to our house for din din. This morning I got up & had my marching orders - pick up desert (I ordered a cake yesterday) and some last minute things wifey needed for din din. First thing I noticed was a small nagging headache. OK no biggie but pretty unusual for me to get one. Then while I'm riding I realize my vision is screwed up. Seems blurry & not getting better. Of course being the trooper I am I do my runs on the fjr & come home - all the while wondering if I had a small stroke in my sleep & whether I should go to the emergency room right away. . .

It took till almost 1 PM for me to realize I lost one of the lenses in my glasses.

The emergency room won't know **** (the extra-stupid doctors have to pull duty there as punishment) but you should mention this to your doctor and have him schedule an MRI. It might be what's called a "transient ischemic attack" - a precursor to a stroke - and your doctor can decide to do various things to prevent/mitigate a stroke. Or it might be a cerebral aneurysm, which might blow out and kill you instantly if not operated on. Or a remote chance of a tumor. Only actually looking with an MRI will help figure out what it is, and how serious.

(For me personally, blurry vision, loss of peripheral vision, an inability to understand writing, and flashing lights means "oh ****, major painful migraine coming on, please kill me NOW" and if I can get in an ultra hot bath IMMEDIATELY I can avoid it.)
