That is truely amazing! I can't believe that the dog used his front paws to pull the other to safety.

So not only is a dog man's best friend, but it is dog's best friend as well.

Don't ever trust a person that doesn't like dogs.

I was startled and pleased to see such a blatant display of empathy, planning and courage from a dog, especially to another one.

If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go.

If they'll have me. ..

That is a great video. After spending the first of the week looking for a snowboarder and his dog that got lost on Berthoud pass it is nice to see a dog survive.

I bow down to the heroic and caring nature of this dog.

However, regarding comment in the thread title, the feelings for one animal to another is not limited to dogs.

When I was thirteen, our calico cat had kittens. The kittens were out on the front lawn one Sunday morning as we were waiting in the car to go to church. Along came the big black Lab from the neighborhood to come over and see what the kittens were up to. Nothing offensive at all, but the kittens had their back hairs all up and as soon as they could one of the kittens turned and scampered into the house through the broken window pane in the front door...seconds later, mommy calico cat bounds out of the house through the broken window pane and takes to steps and jumps and lands on the black Lab - claws bared.

This little calico was attacking the dog ten times it's size. My brothers and sister and I just looked at each other in amazement. That little calico cat had no fear, but was bound and determined to protect it's young. That poor big dog was doing nothing but being friendly...poor dog, I felt sorry for it. It never came around our yard again after that. I don't remember what happened in church that day...but I remembered that scene for sure.

Don't mess with mommy kitty! :clapping:

Doesn't at all compare with the amazing and heroic dog in the video...

My golden pulled me from the shower once when a CO2 alarm malfunctioned and sounded. I could not hear it but he was strangely persistent. Dogs are great.

And....Don't ever trust a person that your dog doesn't like.

This video is amazing! There are people who wouldn't do what that dog did without first taking a poll, having a focus meeting or considering the injured's (whether canine, feline or human) feelings or right to privacy.

That dog gives us all a lesson in compassion.
