Casey threw it away and Valentino now leads the championship by 50 points. Casey jumped to a one second lead after Valentino got held up slightly by Hopkins on the start but he wasn't letting Casey get away. I think it would have been exciting finish if Casey hadn't ended up in the gravel.

There was one bright spot for Ducati, Elias finished second.

Michelin blew it even worse than at Laguna Seca. It was sad how badly they did. Devizioso was the best Mich rider in 9th and Pedrosa was in 15th. Can't wait for Edwards comments.

Wonder how exited Greg White will be this afternoon when Stoner crashes? Seems the championship is now Rossi's to lose, which I can't believe he'll do. Yamaha has the most improved bike for this season.

Man I was hopin for a macho repeat of Laguna Seca and it looks like the Doc is more willing to play hard. too bad casey went out so early, just as the Doc was starting to close the gap.

I have to say I dont like CBS coverage; too much interview time, too many commercials and no blarring Scottish accent>

I'd have to agree on the comentators. Greg White just doesn't do it for me. Yells to damn much. I gave up on the race after Casey pitched it in the dirt.

Greg's level of excitement is distracting and Doohan just kept going "oooh, oooh, ooooh" like a chimp. Is that informed, expert commentary? Bring back Schwantz!

It must be tough trying to comment on a race with so little to comment on, though. I love Rossi's riding, but it was a boring race.

Was a pretty boring race to watch once mighty casey struck out. Word on the street is that there could be a spec tire in MotoGP shortly. Well, if Michelin keeps screwing the pooch, they won't have to worry about as no one will want them.

Just read RoadRacing World article that Ducati is considering using Michelins for one of their two teams. al la Yamaha. Seems they think Yammie's example works for not screwing with the confidence of the other riders. Wonder if the Tech 3 Yamaha results on frog tires will have them re-consider.

Control tyres have been on the cards for a while Randy. It will be better for racing I reckon, it's not about tyres. It's and unfair advantage if you ask me.

I liked it better when they had a mobile tire factory pumping out tires on Saturday based on information gathered on Friday. They said it cost more money that way, but, I didn't see tire prices drop when they quit doing it.

Are mcy races alot more fun to watch in person?
Depends on the type of racing, the venue, and your seats.

The mobile factory was clever, but it made it even more unfair. I have seen first hand what difference a 'hot' tyre can make to lap times. The 'hot' tyres are supplied to the favourite few. I really think in the interest of seeing the riders and manufacturers compete the tyres need to be out of the equation.

'Depends on the type of racing, the venue, and your seats.'........What seats? ;) We only have a few seats, most are stand or take your own.

Wheaton, if you havn't been to see a race go to an AMA race not a club race. It will be faster, more spectacular and professional. The TV gives better all round coverage but you get no impression of speed. Get to a fast corner and you will come away thinking 'how the **** do they do that!!!???' Don't forget, the top guys are aproaching 200mph every single lap at the fast circuits, you can't possibly appreciate that watching it on TV.
