I currently own a Garmin 2720 which I use between the car, van, and the FJR. My wife has decided that she wants her own GPS for use in the family van. She loves the easy to use interface of the 2720. I'm thinking of giving her the 2720 and buying the Quest 2 for the bike.

For those that are familiar with both units, how different is the Quest 2's interface as compared to the 2720? Will I be happy downgrading to the Quest 2? Or, should I just consider getting another 2720 instead since I already have the motorcycle mounting assembly for the FJR?

It's like comparing a Corvette to a Chevette.

To start with, the Quest 2 uses a software that have less attributes, have less information, smaller screen, not a touch screen but it will navigate you.

I guess like the Chevette, it will get you where you wish to go, but just not as fast or as much features as the Corvette.

Do a check on the Garmin website, they have a good compare chart.

I think Quest 2 is a great back up pocket unit, but for real navigating purposes, go with a 2720.

Did you try to ask this question from the place you purchased your 2720 from?

Thanks for the comparison info, James. Since I already have the motorcycle mount and wiring, I might as well stay with the 2720. I was hoping that the Quest 2 would have almost the same features at a lesser price.
