I assume you mean Indiana, not Indianapolis because I am certain there are no "Dragon" type roads in Indianapolis. I am not the guy you are refering to, but I have been living and riding in Southern Indiana my entire life. Actually, there are some decent roads down here, although it would be quite a stretch to compare them to the Dragon.

Most of the better roads (twisty with elevation changes) are found in the Southeastern corner of the state. Beleive it or not, there is a highway 129 in that area that is a lot of fun (no Dragon...maybe a Salamander!). Also 250, which runs East and West, has its moments. 56 & 62 are decent rides as well. 150 From Shoals to Paoli has some nice turns also. The most famous road in Southern Indiana (made a write-up in Road Runner) is 135 which runs all the way from Indy to Kentucky. It runs through Brown County, Bean Blossom (former home of the Abate "Boogie!"), Nashville, Story and all the way to Corydon - Indiana's first capital. It is a nice ride. I would be more than happy to share some more detailed directions or take you around some time.

Shep

Bloomington

Also 450 out of bedford to Shoals has had some press, about 25 miles I think, hooks into the 150 to paoli ride previously mentioned.

looks like ohio is the closest place to find some good twistys

thanks for the help for next years road trip

You betcha!

I'm planning a Southeastern Ohio, and maybe Northern WV ride for early October. Details will be posted in about 2-3 weeks. Had one in the spring, 9 FJR riders from IL, MI, OH, and KY showed up. Gee, and only one crash..much better odds than the Hoons of Heber!! (you listening, Wheaton??)

Come on down, we have some roads that will knock your socks off. :hyper:

Yes, they are talking Indiana, not INDY. There's only one place that would be fun to ride in INDY and that is all left turns. BTDT.

Yes, the Shoals road is fun, but heavily traveled when I was on it. The 135 between Morgantown and 58 (through Nashville and Brown County) is quite nice. Several off camber blind turns, though. Be careful. Pretty. Somoetimes heavily traveled. Occasional LEO's.

There are some "lost roads" that I have been on. Ridge running south of Bloomington. Out in the stix. Not enough twisities and not found enough quality road to make it worth recommending yet, but I'm working on it. Wish I had a better GPS to track/map the area. I think it has lots of potential. Looking for off the beaten path, less travelled.

Maybe I'll get something figured out for you all before next season. Seems I've been getting down there about every week here lately, trying to get lost and see what's there to be seen. Quite fun
