Here is my trio of driving choices ....... wife's SUV is not pictured.

Is that a radar detector on a LEo's bike? If so, shocking!
Yes it is. I have been known to venture outside the realm of safe and prudent speed from time to time. While in my own jurisdiction or surrounding counties, I wouldn't be concerned, but when traveling outside those borders, I would just rather avoid the inevitable conversation. No different than anyone else to a degree. Although I may be able to get out of a ticket, I would rather avoid the stop altogether.

Wow, I got slammed on my bicycle picture and now I am getting slammed on this one. I guess my desire to get my post count up clouded my vision on what I should and should not post. Lesson learned again.

But you are a solo pilot now so it's all good!

BTW I liked you dirt bike.

The lesson should be... If anyone here can yank anyones chain.... They will! :bleh: :bleh: :bleh: :bleh: :bleh:

But I'll bet you don't have a problem writing a ticket for someone else doing the exact same thing. :eh:

meosborn ...... I'll bet your wrong on that one. Unless you were being sarcastic (don't know you well enough to guess), you are treading in an area you know nothing about. I hate to burst your urban legend method of thinking, but I have no quota and no free toaster, I write as few tickets as I possibly can. You see, there are much bigger fish to fry ........... and I like fish.

Same in Canada. The "quota" is a myth.

There are the days when they go out looking, because of areas known to have speeders or because of complaints.

Back to topic.

I wish it were a myth here in Holland, but instead they keep deficit under control by telling the police how much to raise every year.

Nice rides. Is that squad car an Intepid?

Unfortunately it is an Intrepid. In 2002, in order to try and save $$, the agency bought Intrepid's. They soon realized it was a mistake and did not buy anymore of them. Not saying it isn't a good car, it just isn't a good police car. The police package is very quick and handles well for a front wheel drive. The problem is simply durability. It just doesn't hold up well to 12 hour shifts of hard driving and braking. Hopefully, by the first of the year I should have my new Tahoe ....... that is gonna be SWEET. My dog is gonna love it to ....... he will have his own A/C.

I must admit that it was a little bit of a cheap shot since I don't know you either. Totally out of line. I apologize.

Never said anything about quotas though. As a recruiter, I know quotas.

Hey Ock, I've seen a bunch of Tahoes etc. here in Texas but with the price of gas goin up every minute who is gonna pay for the extra fuel costs? I would think the new Charger would be a good choice...better fuel efficency, faster..but Chrysler reliability might still be a problem...and I bet the dog would prefer to see better from the higher perch :D Thanks for sharing the pics !
