That's going to a big owie when he sobers up. Then it will hurt even more when he goes to court.

I do hope they let him assume responsibility for his own medical bills before he goes to jail. Just today, I saw something on TV that explained about all medical care in jail being free. Convicted felons get better care than poor, honest people. The felons don't have to choose between food/rent/prescription costs as many of our seniors do.

A couple of years ago, an 90yr old guy in CA plowed though a Farmer's Market, killing and injuring multiple people. The wise judge didn't sent him to jail, reasoning that it would cost far more to attend to his medical needs than the tax payer ought to pay. I believe the guy got house arrest or something like that, but he had to pay his own bills.

Betcha he saw the parked car, and fixated on it. Biker see, biker aim, biker crash.

How wasted was he? Too drunk to be on a bike. Does the actual BAL matter? The guy was a moron to get onto a bike in that state, whether it was caused by one drink or ten.
