OK, I'm here to help ya bud.
Step 1 - Open a new bottle of Crown Royal or in your case bourbon.
Step 2:
I got this from the GoPro Instruction manual.
Transfer pictures and video files to your computer
Connect the camera to a computer via the included USB cable. Turn on camera by pressing POWER/MODE button.
In WINDOWS, double click on MY COMPUTER and you will see a "Removable Disk" icon. If you do not see this, close the MY COMPUTER folder and then re-open it and the "Removable Disk" icon should appear.
Double click the "Removable Disk" icon. Then double click the "DCIM" folder icon. Then double click the "100GOPRO" icon. The photo and video files will be in the "100GOPRO" folder. Highlight the pictures or video files and drag them to a folder of your choice or double click a file to view it.
MAC USERS: Simply plug the camera into your MAC with the included USB cable and the MAC OS will recognize the camera as either a mass storage device or external hard drive.
The 'removable disk' icon should be label with a letter. On my computer the main hard drive is 'C', the optical drive is 'D', my USB Hard Drive is 'E' and when I plug in one of my cameras it will come up as 'F'. It might also have a descriptive label like GoPro.
If you want to see the rest of the manual for the camera you can see it here.

Step 3:
Ok, now for the fun part... editing and posting
Unless you have your own server like dcarver you will need to edit the video so that the runtime is 10 to 15 minutes depending on the video hosting service (YouTube max is 15 minutes) YouTube is one of the easiest to use for sharing with the forum. I use
Adobe Premiere Elements to perform all my editing and I find it pretty easy to use but I'm pretty geeky, not as geeky as BikerGeek and Useless Pickles though. Once I have the video the way I want it I hit the share button, tell the software to load to YouTube, sign onto my YouTube account (don't worry, it's free), tell it to do it's thing and then go for a drink or three while the 'puter chugs away (I know you like that part). :drinks:
Step 4:
- Once the 'puter tells you the video is ready open up the YouTube video on the 'puter and you should see a share button below the video.
- Hit the share button and click on the 'show options'.
- Click both the 'HD link' & 'long link' buttons.
- Copy the link.
- Open up the FJR Forum and in the 'Relying to' full editor click on the 'insert media' on the toolbar (it's the last on on the toolbar)
- Copy the YouTube link in the Media URL window and hit insert.
- Finish off the post with some of you normally witty remarks
- Go have a drink. :drinks:
That's all there is to it. How could it be any simpler :dntknw:
