I just received a card in the mail. The 1098 premier at all the local Ducati dealers will be February 9th and 10th. For those who did not get to attend one of the international motorcycle shows, it is worth the look. Bee U ti ful!

SUPPOSEDLY - since I just put my deposit down the dealer will be have a special viewing on Feb 8th exclusively for customers with deposits on the bikes and the 9th & 10th for general public. Oh Lordy ----- ain't life grand?

I would assume they will. I put the down on mine at Spectrum Motorsports in Irvine, CA., they say they are the largest Duc dealer in the nation (don't know it thats true or not). They also said they have about 55 deposits at this time and are expecting about 75 '07 1098's. Also said that the 08's will be coming out in September, at a higher price I would think.

Congratz Mike,

I got to check a 1098 out at the Cleveland show last weekend, & wow is it nice. Will the wife get over it? everything has a price.

After the fugly 999, the 1098 is HOT! I wish I could afford one :dribble:
Gary,

Most people can afford a Ducati, just not the insurance or maintaince(sp) or farkles!

Unfortunately for me, I'm in that group  Well maybe if I put off the garage doors, siding and roof for another 15 years, I could get one :glare:

Cheers,

Bryce

I sat on the 1098 at the Long Beach show, and it actually felt pretty good for standing still. I made the mistake of saying it looks beautiful from every angle in front of my wife just as a sweetie was climbing aboard. The bike looks so good from the back that I was actually referring to it and not her! I think that is the first time that has ever happened. I am furiously trying to sconge a deposit.

I hit the 1098 at Gengras Ducati in Hartford CT yesterday. like all ducks, it was very sexy. I liked

the 620 Multistrada, but it looks like they aren't making any for 2007. Good luck to those getting

the 1098's :clapping:

When are you expecting yours, Mike? Did you have to pony up full msrp? Are they tacking on any ******** dealer set up, prep, freight or document charges?

I am in a world of hurt in Wichita. I have to travel to Tulsa, Kansas City or Topeka for a dealer - at least 2 hour drive.

Probably towards the end of the run - probably sometime late May or June as I think I was 21st on the list for a 1098 base model. Of course full MSRP - I don't think you will find this bike anywhere below MSRP (the 07's are basically sold out everywhere from what I hear, and I also heard it has already been determined the 08's will increase a $1,000 and begin deliverys in July or so). Yes, they are tacking on ********, $600 freight and $600 prep., docs fees $50 I think, like $17,600 or something out the door. I probably could of saved a hundred or two elsewhere, but whats the point? I bought from the largest Ducati dealer in the country - Spectrum Motorsports, Irvine, Ca., they are in a high rent district, have a good reputation, and are the closet dealer to me (10 miles), and it is where I will be servicing it. So again, no point going wlsewhere to save a buck or two.

I heard the same thing today at a big dealer in Wichita that doesn't even carry Ducatis. The scuttlebut on this thing is huge. I expect yours will hold its value well if they bump the price $1k and supply continues to lag demand.

I went to take a look. Looks like a great aroundHouse mods???.........Garage Mods??? town bike or track bike. I wouldn't want to try touring on it.
