Today I made a deal on a new Acura TL for my bride. Not trying to gloat, but she is the one that "permitted" me to lay out green for an 06A. Since I have had my new FJR, I hardly ever drive my Silverado SS. So today I made a deal to trade my SS for a TL. I will "inherit" her Pathfinder after I pick up her new ride when I get back from the USGP (Indy). She has no idea what I have done. But my year old SS sat (unless it rained severely) while she pimped a 4 year old Pathfinder, while I was twistin the Blue Genie. She was (is) okay with her Nissan, but I wanted to do something nice for her. Whaddya think??

you don't mention whether or not she's interested in a TL. so hope you did good! i know if a man bought me a new TL, well he wouldn't be leavin the house for awhile!!

Should have bought her a Mercedes SLK 350 or BMW Z4. Every woman deserves a 2 seater convertible sometime in their life.

scrapeape, I'm cheap. I bought my new bride a new Honda Civic---the fancy sporty one(if you can imagine such a thing).Gets near 40mpg tho(as I said,I'm cheap). She won't let me smoke in it. I thank gawd for my old pickup. It's got nicotine stalactites hangin from the ceiling. She did quit bitchin about the ashtray on my weight bench and bicycle tho.

I Have a 2001 TL as well as a 2001 Maxima. The TL is a much better car. I have driven the newer ones and they are sweet.

Good move!

Smart move on the TL.

Dumb move on going to Indy, Sorry but; I hope your the only one who shows up!

Great move and you're a good man.

BUT, remember, in the women's book of "Good Deeds," you get 1 point for a 50cent card and you get 1 point for a $30k car. A mystery to me, but that's the way it is!

That said, nice thing to do.

I have an '04 TL and absolutely love it. I'm sure she will, too. I normally get the new car itch after 2 years, but, I'm nearing the 2 year mark with this and have no desire to look at anything else.

MR2 Spyder occupies a spot in the garage for the Mrs.
