Brand new Pilot Road 2, rear, maybe 100 miles, picked up a three-inch wire, something like a long, thin nail, but it wasn't a nail. I'm wondering if some tire shop is throwing them out in handfulls along the freeways. It was narrow and went in at a shallow angle, near the center of the contact patch. The dyna-plug inserter couldn't find the hole. I had to force it in, which created a new hole. I was hoping I was close and that the sealing compound would flow and seal the hole, but no luck. Per instructions I put in a second dynaplug, but that didn't seal it either. I just ordered a new PR2. :angry2:

I tossed the dynaplug. Might be the bee's knees for a very specific kind of hole, but I'm lookig for something with a little more latitude.

I had a hole the sticky string tool would not go into. Had no trouble finding the hole, just couldn't force the tool through. Actually got my drill and opened it up with a 1/16" bit. Sticky string went in, tire lasted another 3,000 miles, until belts started showing.

Save the old pR 2, when it comes off have it patched on the INSIDE like they do on a car.

If you are just going to toss it, ship it to me and I'll cover the shipping (toss in the dyna plug too  )
