My FJR is a 2003. Truly awesome bike. I have a Dynojet Power Commander and Staintune exhaust with the baffles removed. I have not found a Dynojet map specifically made to match with Staintune. I've tried Wally's smooth it was OK. Then recently I loaded M409-004. This map is made for 2003-2005 Yamaha FJR1300 Remus slip-ons, Stock or aftermarket air filter, Stock O2 sensor disconnected. I like this new map. It appears to make the bike more responsive. However, this map again is not made specifically for the Staintune. As this exhaust is relatively popular with FJR enthusiasts. I'd like to know what map other Dynojet/Staintune owners are using.

I have a map for an 06 FJR and Staintune cans, but it might not be any good for an 03 model, not sure.

I had a custom map made for mine.

If you want to try it I can upload it an pm you the address.

Dear Shadow,

I would love to try your map and appreciate you offering it to me. After installing this customized map, what type of changes did you notice? Please upload it.

Thanks!

Candyman I have a custom DJ map for a 05 FJR (1st gen like yours) with staintunes (baffles removed like yours) and K&N filter. Send me a e-mail adress and I will send it to you to try. This map was smoother and produced better power than the wally map or the dale walker map for my bike.

I have Dougs map and have his headers and Staintune mufflers...with the baffles..still louder than I like. I haven't had a chance to ride much since I made all the changes but the little I have seems very strong all across the rpm range, very noticable low and mid rpm :yahoo:

Remember, that map is a custom one, was on the dyno for nearly 2 hours.

There may be differences in your bikes compared to the Aussie bikes, so it may not be any good for you.

Changes noted....

No drive line snatch when feathering the throttle through tight corners.

Smooth power delivery at any speed.

Stronger pull in all gears.

Top gear roll on is excellent.

I don't ride the bike like this but I am able to ride along at 40kph in 5th gear, it is smooth and pulls away quite well.

That was some thing the bike couldn't do before with out a commander.
