that is amazing. On the other hand how many of you would have done the same if you had money and time? Not sure where he is financially, but given few mil I sure would not be working where I am now.

Good luck to him.

If he thinks Brazil is more stable, I guess he's going to have some things to learn... but that's what makes youth so exciting.

One of the last things I would do is go run a farm in South America. I piddle with farming here these days, but the old joke goes something like:

A farmer won the lottery, and he was interviewed for the local newspaper. The reporter asked him what he was going to do with all the money. The farmer's reply was "I guess I'll just keep farming until I farm it all up." Some years it sure feels that way.

Well, it appears to be true..... daaaaaayumn. :(

I dig both Bostrom brothers, and want both of them to kick ***. Ben obviously did the business this year taking the Supersport Championship, but Eric hasn't really had a stellar year in quite a few seasons now. He never jelled with that R1 for the past couple years, and same for the Ducati alongside with teammate Niel Hodges before that.

Okay... maybe he's in a deep funk, needs to take a year off, I get it, but... damnation, do farming in *Brazil*?! Come on....

I believe it was Nicky Haden who when asked a few years back which country had the best looking women- his reply was Brazil. Perhaps Eric knows more than we know.

I really liked to watch him race at Sears Point, seems he was fastest on a Kawi.

First time I saw the Bos bros race they were riding Harley's.

I keep thinking that the Boz brothers are into practical jokes...

I'm kinda bummed because I really liked rooting for him. And I think the series needs established riders as they move into the new structure. But good on him for being able to take chances like that. I hope the new gig works out.

That ZX-7osaur was an incredibly sorted bike, especially on the front. I'm a Bostrom fan and I was really stoked when EBoz got the Ducati ride... except it was the wrong bike on the wrong tires. Eboz is a very "front end" rider so the Kawi suited him, even though it was maybe past its prime. The Duc, though (especially on Michelins) is a WOT-and-hope bike that hated to be ridden into the corner. This especially showed at Barber, which is to the front of a motorcycle as Monza is to the engine. The poor guy looked lost in the 3-right-turn complex at the end of the track, visibly slower than many of the top privateers.
I don't think the R1 is an especially marvelous AMA Superbike, and I don't think either of them have done an especially marvelous job getting the most out of it. It's not the cat *** trophy of embarrassment that I think the American Honda effort has been, but it just hasn't been working for the Yamaha guys. Since I haven't heard anything about the Yamaha camp other than "all the manufacturers" agreed to the '09 AMA rules, there may or may not be a Yamaha Superbike on the grid. Yamaha has traditionally planned all their (bad) decisions two years in advance, so it's possible this shmozzle has left them with no '09 plans for racing here. I'd think Kawasaki would dive at the chance to pick him up if there was a bike for him, but I think Hayden and Hacking are both continuing.
