Newbie on the forum. Search didn't show this - forgive me if I'm doing it incorrectly.

On my old Concours, I wired 2 vests direct to the battery, their wiring came with inline fuse. They draw about 3 amps each about 36 to 40 watts. The concours altenator handled it fine riding 2 up with wife.

Can I do the same on my 06 FJR? Will atltenator and battery handle it? Can I just connect the +ve red to the battery and ground out the black someplace else?

You apparently didn't read the suggestion when you signed up and agreed to terms....of reading the Bin O' Facts Gen 1 and Bin O' Facts Gen 2. It's covered and linked under there.

The alternator will handle it fine... but there isn't a lot of real estate inside the battery box for 2 sets of vest connections. Look for a bluesea or similar fuse block and run everything to that.

fuseblock site:fjrforum.com should help. Also lots of info on fjrtech.com

Hope this helps
