Help!

I've spent way to much time searching for the answer the following question.

In fact, my eyes are starting to fail and I've got a kink in my back which a change of chairs hasn't helped.

There's plenty of info, but no answer to the basic question:

How much wattage is available after the basic needs of the bike?

Try checking in Bin of facts for the Gen II. Here is some info that may help you out.

Electrical

ECU: Mitsubishi FUA0010

Ignition Coil: Denso JO383

AC Magneto: Denso LNX07, 14.0 Volts, 590 Watts at 5000 r/min (prior years 490 watts)

From Iggy: Watts = Volts x Amps. So we know power in watts for a Gen II is 590 watts. We know the produced voltage without a major load is about 14 volts. So amps are 590/14 = 42.

Stator coil resistance 0.13–0.19 Ω at 68 °F

Battery: GT14B-4 j (12 Amp Hour (AH))

OEM: Manufacturer GYM

Good Replacement: https://www.westcobattery.com

Headlight:

OEM Headlight: 12 V, 60 W/55.0 W × 2

Headlight relay: Matsushita ACM33211 M05 (R= 96.0 Ω)

Tail/brake light: 12 V, 5.0 W/21.0 W × 2

Front turn signal/position light: 12 V, 21 W/5.0 W × 2 (#7443 at auto stores, thanks OhioFJR1300)

Rear turn signal light: 12 V, 21.0 W × 2

License plate light: 12 V, 5.0 W × 1

Horn: 3 Amp

Thanks for the response and looking for me.So the 03 - 05 put out 490 watts and left 120-130 spare.

The 06 puts out 590.

Does that mean there is 220-230 spare?

I'm surprised there is no clear cut definitive answer to this question that I can find.
That's because -- it depends.... It depends on the load (what you've got turned-on: high beams/low beams, brake lights, turn signals -- it varies); and, probably more important?, the rpm at which you're riding -- 2500 rpm = less watts; 5000 rpm = more watts.
