Electrical Question

I'm getting ready to wire up my PDB and I was going to run the relay off of the tail light assembly. Going to each taillight bulb, there is a blue and a yellow wire. Can someone tell me which one of these is for the running light and which is for the brake light?

The yellow is the brake light.

I should add that, the blue wire is the running light, and the black wire is the common ground.

Randy - google "FJR wiring diagram" and it'll give you a PDF file, actually 2; 1 page of the diagram and then 4 pages that blow up the diagram. I've printed it and refer to it all the time.

Thanks, Jim. I went to a shop on Saturday and looked at their service manual and it didn't seem to be very clear, so didn't think the online version would be better. I was wrong.

I had forgotten all about that one at micapeak. It was my first effort and is a bit big for dial-up downloads. I later did a much better one that can be found here and because it's a vector drawing it is friendlier for dial-up users.

BTW: if you are going to buy the electronic version on e-bay you might as well visit that link first.

Why not wire off the brake light? Then you could control what comes on simply by squeezing the lever!?!?
