Lately I have been seeing two blue FRJs, just like mine, right in my backyard. One I see more frequently has a passenger backrest farkle. The other seems pretty stock. I mainly see you guys when I'm driving not when I'm riding. I drive back and forth to work since gearing up for a 3 mile commute is too much work. I'm driving an Orange Honda Element. Not like there are too many of those on the road. ;) I see you guys mainly on Bond Road or sometimes on East Stockton or Elk Grove - Florin Road.

If you guys are here, let me know. We should hookup for a ride sometime.

I work out of the Elk Grove switchyard next to the golf course. I get on 99 N at Grant Line Rd (E. Stockton Blvd.) every day shortly after 4pm. My daily driver is an 05 with a trunk on the back. Could be me I guess, I do recall getting on 99 one day at the same time as another 05.

I rarely drive in Elk Grove unless I'm visiting my friends out there...but heck, I'm just in Orangevale...we can hook for rides too. I'm going on a ride tomorrow...wanna come?

I thought elk grove was in minnesota? Next to cottage grove and inver grove heights?

Could be you that I have seen on E. Stockton, henchmen. I live in that neighborhood you enter near the HD dealership. Orangevale thanks for the offer, I would love to join you for a ride sometime. Tomorrow (Sunday) though I have a mini-ride planned with a few friends from the Bay Area. We're heading up to Foresthill, going to ride Mosquito Ridge Rd. Where are you planing to ride?

Thanks for the offer though, I would love to take a raincheck on the ride.

I was in Foresthill tonight visiting Zac (Fellow FJR owner and maintenance manager at Roseville Yamaha). Tomorrow, I am going to San Jose to watch Ian Anderson play AAA hockey. He is the son of a good friend in Salt Lake and they are in town for a hockey tournament. Should be "cool".

Monday...want to ride Monday?

Could be me! I usually exit I-5 or Hwy 99 @ Bond and ride to turn South on EG-Florin, though I haven't been on mine for 2 weeks.

Last Chance also uses Bond when commuting.

Glad to see that avatar back :yahoo:

Surely you're not out there riding, trying to live up to your screen name? Geez - I'm taking some grief for being back on wheels just four and a half weeks after my throat was cut.

Good to see you back here. How's the recovery going? Bored silly yet?

I just talked to MM. He still has the neck brace on and I think he was answering "generically". I don't believe he has pulled a "Silver Penquin" just yet. YOU take it easy, too. !!! Wonder Woman!

And, BTW, I live in Elk Grove, also. I typically ride north on 99 from Laguna Blvd (Bond to the "natives" of Elk Grove) on my way to work in West Sacramento (W. Capital exit/I-80) about 2100 and Southbound about 0600-0700 M-F. Oddly enough, MM works out of W. Sacramento too.

Sorry I missed your invite to ride on Monday. I couldn't make it anyway. I was at a Labor Day event with my Inlaws. It's good to know there are so many other FJR'ers here in and around Elk Grove. We'll have to get together sometime for a ride / meet n' greet. I'm heading out for four days of riding Starting on Friday. We'll be out riding a bunch or twisty roads in Northern California over the extended weekend. It should be a blast like always. This is my 4th year on this trip.

Is it Friday yet? ;)

No -- dammit!!!! No shortage of good paved and dirt roads in Northern Calif, that's for sure. Have a fun and safe ride.

That's true, exskibum. The past couple years we have pushed out into Oregon and Nevada as well as California but this year it's all Nor Cal. This year the route is kinda a greatest hits roads from previous years. We're riding some of our favorites as well as some new roads.

Do tell - Always good to hear about fun roads, although I won't horn in - got grandma coming to visit her youngest g-child this weekend.

BTW, I'm just up the road from you in Roseville, in case you couldn't tell from the member name - also on an '05, also commuting to W. Sac most days. One of these days the wife will forgive the 3k I put on last month and let me out to play again...

Well there's too much really to list but here is the image from the back of this year's T-Shirt.
Looks like fun. Been on all the western routes your shirt shows and at least half of the eastern runs, but I'm too close to the Sierras - tend to play in the mountains given the choice, but a couple of those roads look interesting and, just as important, within easy riding distance...Thanks and ENJOY your run this weekend.
