nope. Although.... no, never mind...

I'm usually pretty good at team building. Just is so hard getting people hired. Hate to lose a good one.

in the past 4-5 years, I've fired the same two guys three times and I think they have quit about 3-4 times as well.

you struck a nerve, yesterday my right hand gave notice. she was poached by an outfit that has already got two of my best. she made it possible for me to ride for more than day trips.

if i could make a competitive offer i would and i told her so.

i'm very sad.

derek

yeh...hot market these days? Wonder why he/she quit? did you get a good answer?
Sort of. I think probably for a different "type" (same industry) of job. I doubt it was compensation related, we pay pretty well (plus lots of perks - food, etc).

Right. I know what he "said", but, who knows...
As long as it works for you Woodstock...that's all that's important.... :)

Often, the real reason never surfaces, one never burns bridges if one doesn't have to. Too many people believe the grass is greener, only to discover it's just more fertilizer. ;)

Amen! Fertilizer to the left, Fertilizer to the right, Holy ****, I'm up to my neck in the stuff! No wonder the grass is greener

How true. Many of my peers left my former employee believing they were getting better opportunities. Instead, they got more politics, more sales pressure and Peter Principled executives leading the people who brought in the income.
