Set out Saturday morning to burn some gas and eat some asphalt as snow was in the forecast. Temps were in the 20's for the most part, traffic was sparse, and the critters were staying off the road, so I was able to do a lot miles in triple digits. I left the house at 7:30am and got back at 6:38 pm. The trip odo was reading 763 miles. It was a great ending to my first full season with the Feejer.

The snow arrived Monday morning and looks like it's here to stay. So for the next six or seven months all I'll be able to do is farkle on the Feejer. :(

Damn! Just read the long term forecast for the local area... Sunny and seventy for the foreseeable future. Brrrrrrr, better bundle up! :haha:

That's just crule. I'll be putting mine away in MN I'm sure in the near future. :(

I do envy those who have year around driving. Although at times we do have at least a day or two during the winter when the roads dry up and you can go. Although it can be mighty chilly. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

OK, I'll make it worse for you. That picture was taken last February. It was 75 degrees that day. B) Look at the bright side, you can always go sleddin' and ice fishin'! :D

That sure is a gorgeous picture! Thanks for sharing, and while I don't eny you your winter, there are some really fast snow mobiles! :D

Great picture! Sorry your season is nearly over. In California, we have ****** gas, but we can burn it pretty much year round.

Outstanding picture Gunslinger B) ,

Where in Alaska was it taken?

...and may I publish it on the Italian FJRForum? Some guys here are already bitchin' because we're no longer in the 70's early in the AM :haha:

Thanks guys. Pic was taken about 120 miles south of Fairbanks on the north side of the Alaska Range.

Teerex I'd be honored to have that photo in the Italian forum.

TWN I have to come down to wine country next month on business and will probably rent a bike and enjoy some of that sunshine. :agent:

Which wine country?

Great picture! Makes me want to visit my friends in Colorado. Forecast in Charleston is a little warmer. Weather is better, but the roads are a little bland. Can't have it all I guess.

Nice pic! No mountains or snow (yet) here in far northern IN, but itzz coming..... No riding at all for me until-hopefully-March/April by which time my '06 A should be here....all thanks to having a total hip replacement. As I couldn't ride any of my bikes without PAIN, hopefully this l-o-n-g wait will be worth it...both to ride and ride my shiny new Cobalt Blue FJR! Izzit March pretty soon??? DFO

here in Colorado we had snow it's gone and the riding's good

I plan on riding every time the roads are dry all winter long

course i'm toasty in my heated clothes.

Also Loveland's open for skiing Whoo Hooo

Nice pictures, but I don't want to think about the end of the riding season yet. Guess I'd rather it hit me all at once when it gets here. I enjoy riding in the cooler weather, and the landscape in the Northeast is so nice this time of year with the leaves turning. Nope, I refuse to think about the end of riding season until I actually see the snow in my driveway.

Since someone came up with the idea of dumping sand on perfectly good tar. In areas that snow it isn't the cold that bothers me. Snow melts. Sand sticks around, tears apart paint jobs and is slicker than trying to keep your bike up on snow. Watch out for that sand. It'll get ya. maybe.
