been a strange time... I haven't even ridden since November :( hope you have all been doing well...

will be back on the road this coming week though :yahoo:

Penny is doing great and we are trying to decide if she's coming or not (EOM is usually my "trip with the boys" thing)

Already spoke with my dealer (just to get back on track with the thread) and he said "no problem get with me in late August and I'll hook you up again"

I'm going to hit on the other local dealers and was wondering if there were plans to have a central place to place links to dealer web pages so I could use that as incentive to get free stuff in return for free advertising for them

Well, not riding since November... you really must have sumthin' going on. Hope all is working out well.

Also, about a central spot for sponsors... the answer is "yes"... but the website isn't up, yet. I heard from Travis last week, so I expect it won't be terribly far off.

Stay tuned.

Heidi

Gary, Lorie is coming with me again this year. She will drive the car to and from Lewisburg, as she did last year, and then ride with me while we're there. We'd both like to see Penny again - and you if you have to come with her!

Jim

I just got my hotel room so I have it on my schedule. Now I have to fit it into my work schedule.

From past meetings how many bikes do we expect?

Can we ship giveaways to the hotel the week before the meeting?

I have two vendors/friends that I will ask and if they say yes, I would like to know how many items we would need so every bike got one.

I"m looking forward to learning more about the fjr and meeting other f(jr)anatics. The ride there is a good start.

Hi Mark, glad to see another joiner. I'd like to answer your questions...

Last year had somewhere around 70ish bikes. I'm expecting more this year. I'm thinking possibly it can be around 100. History shows that every year has grown by quite a few bikes. As popularity of the FJR seems to be growing the meet probably will, also.

I believe that we can ship to the hotel before the meet. Let me check with them to make absolutely positive & I'll be sure to post up about it.

If your friends would care to donate to the prize grab bag, it would be greatly appreciated. Be sure that if they do, either Jim Meadows (spklbuk) or me (Heidi-luvtoride) knows about it. I'd like to see them get added to the list of preferred vendors.

Looking forward to meeting you, Heidi

Heidi

Thanks for the feedback. I will plan on 100 bikes and see what I can do. I will post back with details when I have them.

See you there.

Mark

Hi everyone, if you haven't already noticed the website for EOM is up and running. I am requesting that if you've found vendors, etc that would donate to our door prize cause, please send me a PM to me to let me know. If you could provide some info about the donator, that'd be great. I want to make sure that they end up in the "SPONSORS" area.

I hope this PM finds everyone doing well. Until later days, Heidi

Heidi,

"Grumpy" e-mailed me earlier today about the event and the need for door prizes. I have two helmet lock brackets (Generation I and Generation II) boxed up ready to be mailed out tomorrow to help the cause. The forum has been a great help to learn more about our beloved FJR's.. Glad I can help, Scott

I have a donation from Adam's Polishes. They make some very nice detail products for cars and cycles. The first 100 bikes will get a free detail spray +

and my company will be donating ear plugs (because I think saving your hearing is worth it and a significant discount on remote online data backup for your laptop or business (this is our product). The forum has helped me with my FJR and learning from others with the same motorcycle has been quite valuable to me so I convinced our business to give a little back.

Thanks to all the forum contributors.

See you at EOM.

Heidi,

I just found out tonight that I WILL be attending EOM after all.

count me in to supply one of my blaster horn harnesses to the lucky winner.

Sorry but I struck out at two local dealers here.

Guess I really do suck at asking for free stuff! My wife says I am only good at getting stuff I have to pay for...

Good news! I just got off the phone with Ted Baccaro at TommyTape, and he said he'd be glad to send some samples of their fantastic 'self fusing silicone tape'. That is a tape I used in the Air Force, and it's 20x better than electrical tape for EVERYTHING. They don't really seem to sell direct, but I buy my tape from Racer Parts Wholesale.

Anyone that's used this tape will never go back to crappy vinyl electrical tape. This leaves no glue behind, and once fused, it's there until you easily trim it off with a knife. Easier than pealing a banana.

Manufactured From a Specially FormulatedSilicone Rubber Compound

Self bonding / non adhesive characteristic that fuses to itself within 24 hours, leaving no mastic residue if removed.

Capable of resisting temperatures of - 65° to + 500° Fahrenheit and can be applied in extreme temperature applications.

300% elongation, stretches to form fit virtually any odd shape, and will not crack or unravel during expansion or contraction.

Salt water resistant and can actually be applied underwater.

Dielectric strength of up to 400 VPM, making it an excellent insulator.

Spoke with my dealer Wayne Cycle and he said he had put together about $100 worth of cleaning items for door prizes. I'll be bringing them with me when I come :clapping:

Edit 9/5/7 picked the stuff up today, will bring it down with me
