I called out, "does anyone know where I can find somepinsomepinsomepin road?"
Without missing a beat, the large one called back, "no, but I can tell you warr yew kin fin tha bes shan inna tricanny aria." [ed: (no, but I can tell you where you can find the best [moon]shine[sic] in the tri-county area.)]

You mean you actually MET Larry the cable guy in person???

Cool!

If I take this route and get pulled over, I have my answer ready.

Cop...."y'all know why I pulled ya over??"

Me......."No, but I DID stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!"

Cop....."turn around and put yer hands behind yer back."

Word to the wise....bring a banjo!! Those WV FIVE-O's just LOVE a banjo playin' sumbitch. YEEHAW!

Summersville Speed Trap

Interesting read, The article is a few years old but it fills in some of the blanks for me. I remember seeing that billboard in the area on many of my trips through there. I always thought it was some guy from out of town who was pissed he got a ticket. I was amazed to read it was actually put up by a local businessman! Turns out he was losing business because of all the people getting speeding tickets. Even the CAA was warning motorists not to travel through there!

I never got nailed through there but I always watch myself through that stretch. Its a built up area and with the speed limit drop its just waaayyy too tasty a spot for the LEO's not to camp out!
