I know, I know, this has probably been beat to death., but I just finished wiring in my Passsport to my Autocom unit and voila....ooops, no radar through the helemt speakers. I searched the site and saw where the passport is a mono device and the phone jack on my Autocom is a stereo device, so I sort of know what I need to do.

My probelm is that I waited till the last minute (of course) and even though I've owned the Passport for about 5 months, I waited till 3 days before The Big Trip to wire it in. ANyone have any ideas on a quick fix from Radio Shack? :(

I got an adapter from Radio Shack for a couple bucks that plugs into the mono jack of the Escort and accepts a stereo jack. Works well with my stereo headset.

Autocom offers both an isolated and a direct mono-to-stereo cable for devices such as yours.

3 days gives you enough time to get one.

part 1294 (2.5 mm mono to 3.5mm stereo - non isolated)

part 1566 (2.5 mono to 3.5 stereo - isolated)

part 1293 (3.5 mm mono to 3.5 mm stereo - non isolated)

If you need an isolated 3.5 mm input you need to use one of their external adapters.
