During my tour in September I will be going from Death Valley to Las Vegas. The route would be something like this.

Furnace Creek-Badwater-Death Valley Junction-Beatty-Tonopah-Warm Springs-ET Highway (Little Ale'in)-Ash Springs-Las Vegas

It looks like fuel is available in Tonopah but I am concerned about the leg to Ash Springs . Can anyone confirm that there are gas stations in Ash Springs or Alamo.

Thanks

when are you gonna be in Vegas?
might be worth a visit... you know fellow limey and all.

I'll be riding from Death Valley to Las Vegas on Mon 15th and I'll be happy to meet up with anyone. Due to a poor turnout on the tour I am now travelling on my own so company would always be welcome. PM sent

This is rough, mind bending country. Drink lots of water and Gatoraide. Stay in your personal Happy Place. Don't take pictures of Area 51. Do not, under any circumstances, arch your back in the presence of any alien life forms. Happy ride. WBill

Actually.... this country is well-known to many a FJR pilot, particularly those LD Riders that fly low over the Basins and Ranges of Nevada, and the rest of the Desert West as well.

Like SkooterG and vectervp1 here:

Thanks for the advice and pictures. One possible option had been a Nevada SS1000 heading up past Reno, Winnemucca and Wendover but I do not think that is possible now as I have to pace myself. I have never ridden for 20 consecutive days and I do not want to do too much in the first half just in case I get to fatigued to enjoy the rest of the trip.

If you're like many of us, the worst part of being on the road for an extended period is that you become unfit to return to "civilization" for awhile.

Best wishes for a fine ride, WBill

I never knew that the posted limit was so slow. It must whizzed by me in a blur or sumpin.
