Modding Mechanic
5 more days to go before I head of to Eur06. This is the 3rd incarnation of a ride that originally started back in '04 with a bunch of guys of the VFR Big List. The first 2 rides went to the Italian Dolomites, which offer some of the most beautiful roads there are, friendly people and beautiful scenery.
This year, we are doing the French Alps, which are totally different in scenery, but none worse for riding roads. It will be a 6 day trip with 4 guys from the US, one from the UK, and 3 from NL. We will be doing some hardcore sport-touring, respectable distances and spirited pace. All of course well within the personal limits of the riders. Afterall, we want to have fun, not scrape anyone from a rock 3000ft below.
As always, I will be taking lots of pictures during the trip. New this year for me will be a video camera mounted on the bike. Expect a full report when I get back with pictures and footage from a FJR hauling ass over the twisties roads.
For a preview what is to come, check out my Gallery.
