For the 4th year in succession, we are organizing a Euro tour in the Alps. This started 4 years ago on the VFR Big List and turned into somewhat of a tradition.

This year we will be visiting the western part of Austria and northern part of Italy (Dolomites). It will be a one week trip probably first week of September, and will likely include between 30 and 40 passes. You will be guided by yours truly and there is likely to be some video created of you riding too.

This is _NOT_ a tourist trip where you can stop every five minutes to take a picture. It _IS_ an adventure and a whole lot of fun with like minded people you will remember the rest of your life. The pace will be smooth but quickly and distances will average around 350km/day (if you are from the US, don't smirk until you lived through it). This is for experienced riders. We are there for the roads and enjoyment of riding. Everybody rides their own pace, but if you are looking for a trip to cruise and see the Alps, this is not for you.

This is not a commercial venture. We will create the routes and make reservations at the hotels, but you will take care off and pay for your bike rental (if your are overseas) and hotel bills yourself. We will help you were needed/wanted of course. The only thing we are getting out of it is the fun and enjoyment of the trip.

If you are interested, drop me a line at throttlemeister <at> sport-touring <dot> eu and we will put you on the information list. This is not a commitment and you can bail out at any time, however if you are on the list we would appreciate a notice if you decide not to go.

man oh man, I wish i could be there! Just to see the new country and meet new people.

Have a great time and think of us US shlubs here wishing we could go! :)

HOLY CRAP!!

Now there's a trip!!

Now who can I find that's independently wealthy to provide me with some $$ for this trip...

hhmmmm, hmmmm. Okay don't all speak up at once! :)

Seriously afterburn - that is one HECK of a trip. :clapping: :clapping: :yahoo: :yahoo: B) B)

Price doesn't have to be that high guys. Bike rental is between 450-500 euro per week for something like a Z750 or VFR800. Hotels are typically between 30-50 euro per night including a big breakfast that will carry you all the way to dinner. Add to that the gas you burn, the drinks you drink and the flight and you're there. This adds up to about 2500 for the trip. Still a lot of money, but not nearly as bad as most think.
