Well, I've been offerd a job in Central / Eastern Europe. I'd be based out of Slovakia (Kosice specifically).

Now, the question is, do I take the bike or get one of those fancy Desert Metallic ones? :yahoo:

Stef or others - I haven't even been over yet to look at the area. Any decent riding in eastern Slovakia or do I need to head over toward Austria?

You're absolutely killing me. Get the desert metallic, looks awesome in pics and rumor has it that it looks better in real life. Oh, I almost forgot, you suck :D

From what I have heard as well, "best beer in the world - cold, rich, and cheaper than water" :D :D :D

Don't know exactly when, but I'm scheduled to go over and look around late this month or early next month (I have blocked out the EOM though. Wouldn't miss that!)

I'm gonna have to find the nearest Mamma Yamma dealer!

Ahhh! A few years of touring about Europe (and getting paid for it to boot!)

I lived in Western Europe for a year in 91-92. I put 10k miles on a BMW 1000GS. Sell the FJR and get some kind of big Enduro.

I have spent mucho time all over Europe (and the old "Eastern Bloc").

If I was you, I would sell your bike, and then get to know the place you are moving to, and then get a suitable ride.

It would be a lot easier to buy a bike over there than bringing one.

A GS would be a good idea, maybe a Euro FJR would be fine.

Well,

Just got back last night from a week in central Europe checking out the job and the area.

First let me say, that to work for Austrian Airlines you must be blonde, skinny and stacked. WOW.

And the Czech Beer is wonderful!! :drinks:

After looking around, I will be selling the FJR here ( :cray: :cray: :cray: ) and buying something else over there. From Vienna to Brno in the Czech Republic, I must have seen 200-300 bikes on the road in a 2 hour drive! Had to have been a dozen FJR's. In the eastern part of Slovakia, I saw hardley any bikes. Don't know why. Surprising number of HARDLEY's in Vienna. A whole lot more cruisers in general than I expected.

But I won't be getting rid of the FJR before EOM!!! Can't wait!! :yahoo:

Rottie, You're right, that is what I plan to do.

Afterburn, I'll still be on the forum and after I'm there we'll set something up for a ride.

Anyway, Here are some pics from the Trip

What NO pictures of any Austrian Airlines female personnel? Shame!

Your other pictures are quite good...best to you in your new environs...
