?!?!! Where do I sign up!! :dribble:

I thought about taking a break from LD riding next year and getting an A license in skydiving.... this umm... is a little more advanced.... I'm probably going to shoot for 2010 now for skydiving.

Wow, that looks like fun. Reminds me of the movie "Reign of Fire", where guys with similar suits would shoot a net trying to snag a big *** dragon.

Whoaa!...fearlessness required for that sport, and ability to handle a steep learning curve...I gotta add this one to my personal list of things I will never do,

Seriously, can you guys guess the angle of descent from the video? I can't tell.

Glide ratio looks to be about one to one (one foot forward, one foot down), or less. My 10 year-old said "It looks like a flying squirrel suit". Exactly, but they are misnamed, and should be called falling squirrels.

I'm sure these guys have many hours of practice in a less hazardous locale, and this is the result of their extremely honed talent. Doesn't mean they're not gonna splatter some day, but we all take similar risks whenever we saddle up. They might even have a large bird get in their way as a real hazard.

The really impressive part is the brief shot of the guy going by a stationary camera at normal speed. The pre-chute part of the flight is probably less than a minute. Can you imagine the uninformed guy in the car seeing that go by while he's negotiating the switchback?

How are they gonna work this into the X Games?

I said the exact thing, it would be quite the site, and I'd probably drive off the side of the mountain.

Another thought is if you were to encounter a bird (or cliff) you would have no way covering/protecting your face, even wiping the snot bubbles has to be an issue, I guess snot or feathers in your mouth is the least of your worries while doing this?
