Last fall my buddy Stan "Lee" Steamer and I went up to my BMW dealer to checkout my K1600GT that I was putting a down-payment on. OK, no biggie, at least for him. We biked up to the dealer with "his idea" that BMW's are old-nasty-man bikes. Okay again, I could care less... Well that was until he walks into their showroom. Bamm! ...he's hit square in the face with this gorgeous K1300 (floor demo) sport bike all gleaming in red and calling his name.... Steamer, Steamer!
So I got a call from a salesman this past Fri. (March 1st) as he was thumbing his way through his test drive records and asked if I was still interested in the K1300. I was like "you got the wrong guy" but I still wanted to know what was up (nosy bastid dat I am!). "Well the bike is still a floor-demo model for sale and we need to make room for this years model". How much? he says "it's now under $16K!". Hmmm, "crap that's not that bad" as I told him I would transfer the message over to my friend who was the actual test driver of that bike.
So I call up da Steamer. He hems and haws that he's (now) thinking about buying a used FJR and also keeping his CBR and continues on that he can do both for the price of the Beem. So this AM. he texts me, "dude I slept on it, I gotta have that Beemer!" Oh he's def worse than a woman. So spring fever is on here in NY, even though the weather still kinda suxx bawlz here, it's got all us white folk in a frenzy.
Remembering back to my 3hr. (not quite the ss minnow) tour that I had.... the GT demo bike and me (hanging on to my very affordable Feej)
