No tickets since 1994 and got a 15 over speeding ticket riding last week with Orangevale (Nothing to do with OV BTW.) Then today I dropped my bike at Mount Wilson in front of about 13 bikes. Ego is hurt worst than the bike. It was a semi-gentle let down. Still broke the glass in the left mirror, scratched the muffler and throttlemiester, and cracked my beloved CalSci windscreen. WTF? Been riding continuously since 1992 and no drops or smash ups? I think I will finish this Bass beer and crawl into a cave for the rest of the month. Watch for JDog's latest movie to see my tip over. :angry:

Sh!^ happens. You only have yourself to blame for the ticket, but ride long enough and drops occur. It's just not that big a deal, repair what needs repair and go ride. Just watch for the cops and be smart about when you're doing your thing.

From my perspective, you're way ahead of the game on tickets.

First - do you understand why you dropped your bike? I always try to learn from those embarassing moments...

Second - I would have a second beer. And perhaps a third. (In fact, that sounds like a really good idea right now...)

Hmmm... you've had a busy couple of months - blow out on the 605, ticket, parking lot drop - - .... tempting fate, are you?

Interesting how things that could have been huge/drastic, didn't happen that way.

Barry, over time, I've learned to trust my gut feelings - and FWIW, had I been on a roll like this, I'd step away from the bike for a while and take a breather. That's just MHO - my .02 worth.

Sorry to hear the bad news Barry. I know JUST what you mean about the ego-pain. BTDT, over and again. Have another beer, and perhaps another. Then ride another day.

Must be all my clean living. Or wait clean living offends the motorcycle gods, right? I'm so confused. Does the broken mirror still lead to seven years of bad luck? FJR mirrors really are not that big. Seems a little drastic in term of punishment. Big wall mirrors should be seven years of bad luck, but FJR sized mirrors maybe 7 weeks? In any event, I am going to take Hal's and Madmike's advice and stay off the bike for a few weeks or so. The cage has be getting rusty and neglected.

I could have gone to Hollywood with my camera, the Gay Pride Parade was today. But hell, a fast ride thru the twisties with Richard, Jeff and Tim beats a Gay Pride Parade anyday, even with a ZSD. LOL

Very sorry to hear of the award and ZSD. I managed both at the same time this weekend. Sorta like getting a root canal and prostate exam simultaneously! Probably about the same cost when all is said and done.

Maybe I'm stooopid, but I'm riding tomorrow.
