Fenda extension

Cleaned up my FJR a bit after 250 miles riding. Noticed that there was a pretty decent difference between the end of the front frenda and the lower end of the curved radiator cowling. :blink:

This seems to be a good place to pick up a lot of pitting and road crap from the front wheel.

Don't seem like there's much room for an extenda for the fenda, but wonder if those with previous bikes found this cowl area to be ruined pretty fast by rocks and road crap.

You didn't say what model year you have, but someone reported that the fenda-extenda doesn't fit the 06 model. For 03-05, it works great, though.

If you be talkin' to me..... it's an '06. And, I think I'll put some plastic crap on the cowl and not a fenda extenda.

Yes, I think I was the receiver of good luck that an '06 owner figured out it didn't fit their year, and sold it to me and my '05 at a good price and even included a stogie. Me thinks the Fenda Extenda guy will have to redesign for '06.

I emailed Howard at Dandy Industries and told him of the misfit Extenda problem. I think he buys the Fenda Extenda from another company. Perhaps at least he won't be selling them to '06 owners who don't know yet that the original Extenda doesn't fit the '06 FJR.

Hopefully he'll let us know when/if a new version will be available.
