Unfortunatly, no

I'm touring 5 weeks August and September.

Although I could stop by Texas on my tour and we can get some pictures then.

I am planning on attending EOM.

Unfortunately, fall events won't work with my work schedule. So CFO, EOM and CFR aren't ever gonna happen for me. That's the busy time for printing, right before the holidays.

Practical? you gotta be kidding.... practical would be a bicycle or an "economy" car... Motorcycles aint' practical unless it's your only transportation.

that is why I mentioned that all of the terms are relative... for A MOTORCYCLE, the FJR is a pretty practical choice IMHO as compared to sportbikes, cruisers, choppers etc.

By the time it's farkled, the FJR is NO LONGER practical! At least in dollars and cents terms, riding it is a whole nuther "practical" discussion.

And I dare say no one on this board has a totally stock FJR! ...at least for very long....

A practical bike would be a standard type, something like a Suzuki Bandit 650, a Triumph Bonneville, or a Honda Shadow VLX...

They're not sportbikes, cruisers or touring bikes... just bikes...

And if you don't use them for transportation, they're toys, like a boat or an rv that's used 2 weeks out of the year.

Of course, that's not the case with the folks here... the peeps here ride, therefore bikes are practical.

I'd say my Harley is practical for me as far as bikes go. It's cheaper than driving, and it's gotten me everywhere I've needed to go....

at least where I could ride a bike. Comfort could be improved with a fairing. Speed? Not at fast as the FJR , but plenty fast enuf ...

it'll cruise all day at 85-90, and I have. I don't even like riding much faster for a long time on the FJR, just too much more effort from the wind, not as much fun.

Curves, the Deuce is ok, but I'm kinda chicken anyway.... and yes, I have scraped the pipes..

No one NEEDS a motorcycle.... but... realistically, no one NEEDS a television, cell phone, or an SUV either.

Or five bike jackets and 7 pairs of boots!

Ok, so you're weird! Just kidding....

When I bought the 05 FJR is already had a bunch of farkles.

I even farkled my Harley (battery tender, fog lights, front fork stabilizer, GPS hookup, and digital voltmeter/gas gauge) ...

presuming the defination of a farkle is something useful vs useless chrome...

like the $178 twisted chrome shift rod, but at least it doesn't say Harley!

Sometimes I think I like playing with the bikes as much as riding them!

Yeah, I'm borded, no tv, my bikes are 20 miles from where I live and it's is too cold to ride here pbly for a week or two....

since I don't have an FJR with heated seat and grips !

I don't even have a FJR anymore ! <G>

But FJR's are fun to play with once you figure out how to take the dang things apart and put them back together!
