Pardon my stupidity but what years make up what "generation" and why? :dntknw:

Statements such as "works on generation II but not on generation III" mean nothing to me at the moment.

Rumplestiltskin, Gen I: 2003 - 2005. Gen II: 2006 - 2007. There is no Gen III, yet.

Technically, Gen I was from 2002 but that was everywhere else but North America....just FYI
Technically, we don't give a **** about how everyone else model years their stuff. :p Besides, technically speaking the bike existed as a 2001 model everywhere else. So put that in your tuque and smoke it, eh!

Just pass me the damn smokin' thing. I need a hit.

Speaking of which...It just so happens that I had quit smoking about a week before the "crash-n-crush." I had some concerns that the upset in the routine would be cause for relapse. But no. Thusfar, I am victorious and still smoke-free!

Go, me! Go, me! Go, me!

Now, back to your regularly scheduled broadcast. Live, and in technicolor.

[off topic] Yo, Scabbers, good job quitting the butts. That ugly, smelly, nasty habit sure is hard to end. It takes real resolve to stay quit after a few months when you forget why it was you wanted to quit in the first place.

Still off topic -- here we are discussing Gen I and Gen II bikes when Scab shows up with his Gen X bike, a FZ-6 that replaces his Gen I. [/off topic]

Not to be on topic or anything, but Gen II was coined because there were several changes/updates in '06, rendering many parts non-interchangeable between the two generations. Well maybe that was obvious.

**** and here I thought it had something to do with Startrek err maybe the Stones, talkin' bout my genitalia.....

Shows what I know :dribble:
