It is a typical MO writeup: wonder how much is taken verbatum from Yamaha PR flack? Disagree with their assessment of the Metzler rubber: around here when cold (30s) they are quite "greasy" feeling until warmed up. Never felt that from my BS 020s that were on my '03 FJR and '04 ST 1300.

Other than that, now that most of us have our new bikes...gee thanks for the "preview" Yamahaha............

However, do agree that the '06 FJR is a very competent Sport Touring bike with much improved ride and handling compared to my '03, and so far NO heat issues! Of course for even more capable curve carving, and surprisingly a more "plush" ride, I'm getting a 1000 mile "old" '05 Honda Interceptor (aka VFR). Along with my '04 1200R Sportster this should be an interesting trio of "R" bikes to enjoy! Aaahhh, variety!! DFO :D
