BOB SEGER IS BACK!!!! Along with Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, Jackson Browne, The Eagles, Tom Petty and John Fogerty, Bob Seger is one of my iPod playlist favorites for any length ride and he has a new single with a great reference to riding, "Wait For Me". His new album comes out Sept. 12th and I'm sure there will be more songs that fit our FJR riding / touring style. Check it Out!

I will answer the wind,

I will leave with the tide,

I'll be out on the road,

Every chance I can ride.

No matter how far,

No matter how free,

I'll be along,

If you'll wait for me.

There'll be times when I’ll rise,

There'll be times when I’ll fall,

There'll be times when it's best,

To say nothing at all.

Knowing you're right,

Letting it be.

I'll be around.

If you'll wait for me.

If you'll wait for me.

And I'll fight for the right to go over that hill,

If it only means something to me

I will not be persuaded,

I won't be still.

I'll find a way to be free.

In the cool of the night,

In the heat of the day.

If you're ever in doubt,

I'll be on my way.

Straight to your side,

I guarantee,

I'll be around.

If you'll wait for me.

If you'll wait for me.

// Wait for me //

// Wait for me //

I'll be around.

// Wait for me //

If you'll wait for me.

// Wait for me //

Just will not do it for me . My riding music is more like this hatebreed , Atreyu, At the drive in , M.S.I , Ministry , Rancid , richard hell , Sham 69 , mix in some Sabbath , Devo and the Donnas and have a blast .

Aretha, James Brown, the Temp's, offset by some Led Zep, Johnny Winter, and Santana. Armed with such tunes, my '06 (a) has a hard time keeping it in double figures.

Ah, personal tastes here...I do not listen to Classic Rock, so Seeger, Meloncamp , and all can fade it the wind for you other folks. I may find myself listening to some Hendrix, and Europa by Santana is still a favorite, but I have heard all the lyrics I need to in my life and now rejoice in music sans vocals. This usualy means Jazz and mostly Dance. Juno Reactor, Orbital ,Propeller Heads and the like. If words are wished..Devo? yeah, always loved those guys...and Oingo Boingo...those round off the "sing along" music for me.

Sorry, but at 52 I do not want to be listening to all the music I listened to in school...been there, done that.

Country Music...no thanks.

Opera? ..no way.

Crystal Method , now your talking...............

on that...Still stuck with a CD player for my WFO journey, I only took two discs. A Korn compilation I burned and the aforementioned classic.
"Congregation, please be seated, and open your prayer guides to the book of Revelations, Psalm 69"... :punk:

Go look up the lyrics to that song youselves. I won't dare reprint them here.

Depends on the ride.

Casual, lazy winding, tree-lined roads = Jazz or Blues (Charlie Parker, Dave Gusin, Howlin; Wolf, John Lee Hooker, etc.) or The Grateful Dead

Kamakazi twisties = Primus, Cake (no kidding), Zappa, Less Claypool, Nugent, etc.

3 am "makin' time to the next bonus stop" = Metal, Thrash, etc. (Metallica, Godsmack, Rob Zombie, NiN, Korn, and so forth)

Didn't we play this game before???

Anyway... +1 w/Bounce - depends on the ride

BNL, Aerosmith, DMB, Jack Johnson, Cure, Dead, Phish, T Heads, Rush, Clash, Metalica, blah blah blah.....
