I also think its a great idea. I joined Concours Owners Group several years ago primarily for that reason. They have a large membership and very well organized directory that lists members by location and alphabetical order and level of willingness to help, (tent space, technical help, etc, etc) It would be a good model to follow. They charge a modest annual fee of $30 to cover all the administration and publishing, ride-ins etc . For the former Conc owners here who were (still are) members you know what I mean.

Glad to see the effort put in here for a similar FJR related directory. I'm sure many of us will make use of it.

Well folks I will be happy to volunteer to create and maintain a spreadsheet of folks who would like to be a part of this. I will look at some other lists today and see what information is needed from each person.
Excellent! Go for it!! I threw the idea out without a lot of thought on the actual mechanics of how it should work because I knew others would have much better "technology" to do it. I think that an online data base that was password protected would be the ultimate, however, a mailing list should accomplish the same thing if someone has the time and is willing to maintain it.

Thanks for the offer!

MCRIDER,

I think after the initial effort it won't be that much work to maintain. I will start collecting information and will PM those who have shown interest.

I'd be interested in getting my name on the list. Would be glad to be a resource for anyone passing through Denver. If they can catch me when I'm not riding. PM me and I'll pass along whatever information you need.

We launched this idea over here (Italy) a few months back and already have a small network of FJR riders prepared to help international friends during their travels in our neck of the woods.

We're fully aware that a only small minority of youse guys will be actually "riding" in Italy and we're happy to assist even if you ride a train, rent a car, hitch-hike or even skydive in.

Count us in

I'm in! dont think there will be a rush of people to visit MS, mostly passers through via the Natchez Trace. If there is anything I can do I will glady assist

Sounds good... will help in knoxville TN (not many tools or even a big garage, but can pickup stranded riders, offer a couch till the morning and a ride to a dealer).

I belong to group that already does this called MTF ( motorcycle tourers forum)

I'd give ya the link, but its blocked from work, and I can't remmeber it exactly.

I wouldn't mind being a part of this also....

See ya soon..... while travelling around the Great Lakes perhaps or stopping by at Aerostich?
