I followed an 06 FJR for about a mile or two on hwy 92 in Colorado today before I got bored and went around. Hope you weren't embarrased being overtaken by a Gold Wing in the twisties but I couldn't stand it any longer.

Fred -- it wasn't me, really! Actually, Toyo and I were on that stretch of road on Tuesday. Just some awesome riding and scenery.

Hope you are having fun.

Wasn't me... I'm in Alabama! -- and I don't think I have been passed by a winger, unless I'm stopped somewhere...

To tell you the truth, I was a little worried about the rider. He was two-up, and as I followed him, I watched him cross the center line on almost every left hand turn and some rights. I wanted to get around him at the first opportunity and did so.

Not sure why he was having problems, as he wasn't really going that fast or pushing the bike much.

Once I went around, he quickly dissapeared in my mirror and I never saw him again. He didn't even try to keep up with me, which I am glad about, as I would have had to pull off and stop if he had.

I did feel a bit guilty passing an FJR on my Wing, but since they sit side by side in my garage, I guess it is ok.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I had my helmet cam running and caught it all on video tape. I am gonna go review it and see how it looks.

Oh wow! I just reviewed the tape. Pretty scarry stuff. He crossed the center line all the way into the left lane on a left turn and just got it back into his lane as a car passed by. That's when I got on the gas and blew by him.

Fred,

do you keep that Hi8 video cam as part of a "collection?"

(I have a whole "collection" of OlympusOM system SLRs

in some closet...)

See, they have DIGITAL video cams now, bud. :p

I think we'd all like to see the video!
