Hey Busta, should be able to make it, plus it is my 46th birthday that day... Damn I'm getting old!

Is anyone going to have carb sticks to do the throttle body synch?

Pete
I will bring my Carbtune if I can make it up there.
Love to see ya Scott! Maybe we can finish uo that pesky Clearwater install job!

Scott's posting got me to thinkin...

For those of you who are coming from far away to Tech Day in Owosso, I make the following offer:

I live about 35 minutes away from Busta Nut in Williamston Michigan. I live out in the country, have a large yard, plenty of covered motorcycle parking, and bathroom facilities. So feel free to pack some camping gear, and camp out at my house if you want to save some hotel $. I also have a spare bedroom if needed as well... Just offering up.

Pete

Thanks for the offer, but homie don't camp. I would take you up on the spare bed if it is still open and I can make the event.

I think we've reached the limit for valve checks folks. Bill, Andy, Jeff, and rcpd807 (Neil) are wanting this done.. The CCT's, Cruise controls, plugs changes, and TBS's, should be tedious but manageable as I won't be doing anything but scratching my *** an all.

Jeff an' Bill seem pretty handy so I can't imagine they are going to need me mucking stuff up for em, Andy can't tie velcro shoes without Sooze's help.. So what say you Ray? Ya willing to offer advice while we tackle Neils?

I hope to have Bills disassembled and ready Friday night.... Before we get busy with The Crown... :dribble:

https://luv.southwest.com/servlet/website/PersonalizedForm?lPHpkEe_UUTVTB_9uzE.26f7beEILLtLkKhglFHhsDJht You know Guys, the smartest thing you MI FJR Folks could do is ship The ******* down to Arizona for your Tech Day II! For $189 from DTW - DeToilet to PHX, if you book right now. I would drag him off to Leticia's Whorehouse in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico and fix him up with two of the fattest and meanest Las Putas (whores) you have ever seen, get him high on Peyote and leave two bottles of Herradura Tequila and one bottle of Azul Mezcal in the room with them. Then Sunday I would get him back across the border and on the return flight to Michigan. This way there is no possible means Bust could feck things up for Tech Day II, and I know he won't try any ***** with Los Federales!

It is going to be a busy day.... The valve checks... y'all are aware of coolant draining, o-rings and refill, yes? The checks aren't too bad, we're just hoping too many shim changes won't bog us down. We can coach whomever on CCT change and help here and there, should be OK there. TBS easy if the tank is up and ready to go (don't come with a full tank).

I think the cruise control job is in jeopardy of being incomplete unless someone is totally familiar and can be dedicated to it, along with having the switch pre-installed and appropriate hookup wires located, etc. Read up thoroughly!!

Don, for all I know, that's exactly what happened at Tech Day I last fall.

Only without leaving Michigan.

Things're kind of, uh, fuzzy from later that night...

Hey it's early April.. Ya never know what will happen here weather-wise. :assassin: Might get bumped a week or two.

I just don't want to wake up naked, tied to a tree again this year. :(

Yeah; that's a job that needs quite a bit of pre-planning (decide where to put the servo, where to put the vacuum canister, possibly build your own canister, determine if you need a relay for the brake wiring, etc) so that all necessary parts can be purchased ahead of time. Either that, or have someone do the install whatever way they are familiar with and hope you like their decisions.

I'd help out if I wasn't going to be busy working on my own valve check. At least my bike will be opened up so the details of my cruise install can be examined to help with the decision-making/planning for a future install.

I think Don would drag Bust down to Mexico, get him messed up, then put on a sheep outfit and start bleating like Dolly! :shok:

Blind Squirrel, fixed it for you; always trying to be helpful, you're welcome!

Hey Guys, I was checking the Owosso, MI Chamber of Commerce website. Owosso Public Works Dept. has added a road sign to help you find Bust's house! jes' sayin'

My criteria is that the mount is on the right (Already have the mount for that, thanks to WynPro) and that my bike is running correctly with cruise control installed. If there's one thing I hate in my work is someone asking for my help, and then telling me how to do it. So I try not to do it to others. Mechanically, I'm ******** so I need the help.

How early are we starting this thing? I'll be the first one there. Or if there's any work going on Friday night that could be done ahead of time, like taking the bike apart to have access to the areas we need. I'm thinking I'll trailer over so there's not a chance of being stranded. Not that I don't have complete faith! :p

Ray & I are planning to be there on Friday to get my bike prepped for the valve check, CCT change, G2 throttle tube install & throttle spring unwind mod (I'll be a busy boy all Saturday).

I will need help with the CCT change since my fat, pudgy fingers have no chance of getting at those bolts.

Just a reminder that the valve checks need to be done with engine cold, so either trailer it in or drop it off Friday nite. Don't forget yer O-rings and coolant. I'm also thinking we need more shim kits.
