My wife and I recently took a two week trip from Florida to Arkansas. While in Selma, Alabama we found that a Ghost Town called Cahawba was not far away. So, we road out there on the bikes and video clipped the ride. Found out it was mostly dirt roads but we made it to a couple places in the town. No drops!

My wife is riding a Buell Blast set up for touring.

Sweet video....but probably faster than I would drive my Feej in the dirt. :coward:

BTW, WTF is up with the music? "Polka Kings Meet Mario Brothers"? :p

You ride an FJR and make your wife ride a Buell Blast !!!

That could be considered spousal abuse.

Yea, sorry about the music but I was just learning how to do some video editing using Pinnacle. The other videos on Youtube have great music. Check those out sometime.

BTW - my wife has over 80k miles on two of those Blast's. She won't give it up man. She earned an Ironbutt last year on it. Right now, her 09 has 28k miles on it. More than most riders on big bikes.

I married the right girl!

Looks like a nice house at the end of that long dirt road. I ride the same speed on dirt- SLOW!
Yup,that house was originally the Senator of Alabama's home. I think he was a pretty popular Senator if I remember correctly. Actually, that whole ghost town was the original capitol of Alabama. Something happened and the capitol was changed to several different cities since then (now Montgomery). I think there was major flooding problems with Cahawba as it sit's right on the Cahawba River.

That was a pretty cool place but the roads SUCKED for the FJR.

Now, you have had your history lesson.

Wow, I give you credit for riding the FJR on all those dirt roads!!

Would you have the GPS cordinates for that land mark? I'm going to be doing some riding in AR (on my way to OKC) would like to go visit that on the way. I will however be on the KTM :)
