OK all. I updated the first link to make this a sure enough tech day with a specific day and time. I will PM address etc. during the week prior. Attendee list will stay in first post as will other info as it gets added, so take a peek every now and again.

Should we do an award for longest distance traveled to this PNW tech day?

Sure. I'd chip in a few bucks to help with a prize. Though I'd like to see a minimum required distance, like 100 miles to qualify... ;)

Otherwise George will just get up early and ride to Yakima and back to claim the prize of longest distance traveled! ;)

Though I *could* make the claim my journey started last year and 4300 miles ago... :D

...and I had it in the bag. :) Damn sportsguy, I'd even have split the prize if ya hadn't blown the plan. I'll have most of the maintenance items completed by then and a set of take-offs mounted back up. At 11.5K the PR2's are looking pretty haggard.

Either day works for me David, let me know what to bring!

I am planning on showing up at this time, probably in a looksee/lend a hand info gathering mode, just need location and time. Jim

My Mrs. will give your Mrs. a call tomorrow to see what she needs.

Do I need to figure out how to mount up the tire machine on my trailer?? Let me know if there are any tools needed.

I'm in...need new tires. If it's not a problem can I have the tires shipped direct to your place. If so, please PM your address.

Matt

Well...the only downside in tech day at David and Colleen's is no tire changing apparatus. Personally, I thought Bryan needed a breather after having mounted a few dozen the last go around. Having said that, I'm not too many miles from needed a set spooned on and will slink over to his or George's place soon.

Bryan, I will let my people talk to your people but Marissa gets a break as well. We will give her a Hot Toddy and an easy chair. Have the girls come by if they want to, movies and game abound.

Tools, I have a set or two of all the regular stuff but it doesn't hurt to bring a few extras of the high use items (perhaps an extra set of hex wrenches and metric stuff??). I have a torque wrench for the bigger stuff, not one for the smaller screws. No heat gun. No lift beyond a couple of floor jacks. No tire changer. Everything else should be lurking.

I can get 10-12 bikes inside and another 1 or 2 under a canopy if it comes to that...plenty of driveway space for the voyeurs amongst us.

Matt - I have added you to the list.

I have a heat gun.

Can bring the t-wrenches.

And if my Peter Tosh CD shows up by then, I can bring some mad reggae beats to balance out Reamer's Abba collection.

Having experience pulling the nose cowling from my december spider failure, I would love to come out and help but as usual I'm out of town while a tech day is going on. :angry2: Pulling the nose cowl sounds like a huge deal, but it's not once you get into it. Just be sure to pull the whole assembly with instrument panel and headlights intact.

Matt, PM me and let's work something out and we can do the tires at my house.

Hi David and Colleen,

I will show up just so David's bike does not feel too lonely during the melee. (Being the only other AE.......) Not only that we can use it as reference material when you cannot figure out how to put it back together. Key here is take one AE apart at a time........

Let me know if I can bring anything,

See ya' all soon,

J

Thanks Brian, PM sent.

If you are lurking out there and havent been to one of these PNW Techmeets you need to get off your duff and make it happen. Good people, good info, good bikes, good food....

Matt, if you need tires right a way, I have a set of PR2's in the garage we can put on now. You can use those and send me a replacement set.
