Florida route suggestions

Going to an event in Cedar Key at the end of the month.

I will be riding 2 up, so I need some sights and maybe a nice place to eat for lunch break. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

As you probably know, US 19 runs up and down the West coast of Florida. One really nice little ride and nice little restaurant is located near Weeki Wachee, Fla... Wicki watchee is located at the intersection of SR 50 (runs east and west) and US 19. You get on Aripeka Rd. about a mile south of County line Road and US 19. Take Aripeka west from US 19 and head up to the Upper Deck restaurant in the town of Weeki Wachee. It's a motorcycle friendly place with covered parking downstairs for bikes. Great beach front place to eat with seating inside or out. It's about a 10 mile ride through a lot of great curves... coming from the intersection of US 19 and Aripeka Rd. . After leaving, you can take your quickest route straight East to US 19 and then north to your final destination.

Another nice place to stop is at Pecks at the end of Ozello road. Ozello road is off of 19 right before you get to Crystal River, the road is very twisty, and the restaurant is known for garlic crab. If you go up 19 then eventually will hit 98 keep going then head for Weewahitchga (spelling) there is a restaurant there that has the best cajun food you will taste, it is called the Baju bring cash because they do not take check or plastic. While in the town stop by and get some tupelo honey (it is great).

Heading out most likely on Friday (30th) or Saturday (1st) EARLY AM like 3 or 4 am (Not likely on time :lol: )

Have motel reservations for Saturday. Return trip on Sunday Evening. All plans are flexible.

Riding 2 up- want to break from the point A to point B routine and make the ride enjoyable.

Meet up would be great. Thinking of knocking out the North/South miles early then enjoy the

East to West roads across the state. Coming back, would like to change the route completely .

Sorry 101st, only just been able to get on and post.Turns out I got a trip to St Augustine at the last minute, sadly not on the bike as my wife is not a pillion person!

Hope your trip is going/went well, maybe we'll meet up another time.
