And sorry for being so pesky about routes and all, but exploring Death Valley is on my bucket list and I'm having a hard time waiting till March, which seems soooooo far away.
I hear you. I am doing my first major maintence to my new to me DRZ. It just hit 6000 miles with me putting 3 of those on last year. I cant wait for this ride :yahoo:

Shock and forks are off to Race Tech for some love. It doesn't hurt the shop is a mile from my house. Well except my wallet.

Well, since ynotride Dan is bragging about upgrades to his moto: I have to let everyone know Papa Chuy has added a beer can holder to the right side of the handlebars on mi muy bonita Senorita Salma Hayek-BMW F650GS Twin. That's yamafitter-Bill F. to my right, Tucson Joe and Papa Chuy had to "carry" that fat Canuck's *** all the way through Mexico's Copper Canyon and back!

Motivational bump and reminder That I will be exploring the day 1 route on Thursday if anyone wants to join in. My sidekick Erin won't be down until Thursday night.

For a second I thought that was Rushes' shop but when I saw the guy drinking coffee instead of bourbon I realized my mistake.

It could have been Irish Coffee, but I'm not certain we Fenians want to claim Russ as one of Eire's Own! jes' sayin' and nuff' said!

I'm ready to roll. Got her all buttoned back up this morning. Hoping to play in the mud this weekend after the rain.

Very nice work Dan, your moto looks outstanding! If you need the part number for a "perfect" handlebar beer can holder, I will send it to you via PM!

I have made my reservations at the Longstreet Casino and hotel and will be riding my FJR on the paved portions of Death Valley. I'm looking forward to meeting up with Mark and Duke and Ken again to see if we can top the southern Utah Parks ride from last fall. Hopefully, BeemerDon will avoid any further deer encounters - I hate it when that happens. If anybody else is riding up from Phoenix, and would like a riding partner, please let me know and we can arrange a meeting point and time for departure.

Welcome aboard Jim. I'm sure Don will be along shortly to supply a few AZBeemer contacts.

Getting closer to being ready for Titus!
Looking good John. I had one of those rear bags once, it expands to ten feet tall on those real long rides!

Why does everyone's garage look cleaner than mine?

https://www.azbeemers.org/forum/index.php?topic=3518.msg27069#msg27069 in Reply #12: Jim, I posted this up to AZ Beemers: My Friend Jim from www.fjrforum.com is looking for a street bike riding partner up to Death Valley Daze. Donna, Seth and I'll be in our Jeep towing up the BMW GS with knobbies on it.

Hopefully work won't get in the way of this, as I just booked my room, and I'll be joining the dirt riders as I'll be on my Tenere.

FYI, there's no lakeside double rooms available. If anybody here has one reserved and decides to cancel PLEASE LET ME KNOW before you cancel so I can grab it. TIA!

Also, I'll be riding the area next weekend while at the White Stag Rally so I should be able to report back conditions here.
