I've got a Mac and used to use Safari. Had way too many crashes. I switched to Firefox and never looked back.

Therein lies the problem.....you were running Safari on a Mac! :assassin: :clapping: :yahoo:

(I say this while looking over at my old 9600/350  )

Safari's neat and all, but WebKit-based browsers either flat out don't work or display pages incorrectly on a lot of sites that I visit.

Safari on Mac has issues and the community has a laundry list of complaints that streatches to the moon and back. Most do switch over to firefox. I played with safari on PC and as already stated, found sites it wouldn't display correctly. Then again, I know that would happen going in. I still wanted to play with it. Like everything else, everyone's milage will very depending on what they do with it.

Okay, we need a little honesty in this thread. Those who have experienced problems with display/crashes/etc. with Safari...tell us, these were porn sites, right? Being the wholesome, all-american, Mayberry-ish, G-rated guy that I am, would explain why I've not experienced any of these issues, since I would never, ever frequent any of those sites.

I've had Macs since 1990 - 512 enhanced (Fat Mac), I use Safari exclusively on my intel based MacBook Pro; try the Patriot Guard Rider site. Safari has a big problem with that forum when I try to post. It's forcing me to learn html. The hosting software is optimized for that bastard Internet Exploder 6. The problem with Safari is that not all web sites use standards based software. I either make do with what I got or just move on. I do let the webmasters know that their website needs to be updated.

Sorry scab, no prono sites for me. The issue with safari is that too much out there is written for IE. This causes issues with FireFox as well, however, FF seems to be scaling that wall. Do they still make IR for Mac? I know they used to back in the day and I know it used to be a giant POS, but I'm just curious as I haven't seen anything about it. I remember it being so bad that any issues safari has now was nothing compared to IE for Mac.
